Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE)
Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Project Information
Each student will have an SAE project/program. SAE’s consist of a student-led project that must be related to the Agriculture Industry. Students will complete the necessary requirements for this project outside of the classroom setting. Some examples could include but are not limited to taking care of pets, working at a job that is related to agriculture, mowing grass, landscaping, etc... If the student has trouble drafting a project they should seek help from the teacher! Students are required to spend a minimum of 32 hours outside of class each year developing their SAE project. This equals 8 hours of work per 9 weeks! Students must also submit 8 pictures of themselves working on their SAE project for the year. SAE’s will be discussed in depth in the first few weeks of school. Each student will receive access to the AET online record book system. This program will be a hub that allows students to upload information about their hours worked as well as pictures that document their project. More information about this program will also be given during the month of August!
